Daisy of Love on VH1

Episode Summary

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT

The producers of Daisy of Love (Sundays, 9:00 p.m. ET) certainly must have known that casting psychotic, mentally-imbalanced individuals would result in some unpredictable behavior.  Flipper – a.k.a. Crazy Mike – definitely delivers the crazy on the May 3rd episode, which also featured more bodily fluids than an episode of CSI.  For excretory content, foul language, gore, and nudity, Daisy of Love has been named Worst Cable TV Show of the Week for the second week in a row.

The first challenge of the season required the men to come up with a “Show and Tell” presentation that illustrates to Daisy what they are all about.  Apparently, the contestant known as Fox thinks he’s a prop-comic, because he attempts to give Daisy a “humorous novelty,” which the camera obscures with skull and crossbones graphics.  Presumably, he offers Daisy a sex toy -- but she refuses to accept his gift, asking, “Where’s that been exactly?...I am not touching this gift!”

Fox’s attempt at humor bombs horribly, but at least the entire cast doesn’t turn against him afterwards - unlike Flipper, who performs a dim-witted rap that skewers the other contestants.  Flipper’s rudimentary rhymes sound as if a first grader had constructed them.  Inexplicably, while the contestants chat over drinks later in the backyard, Flipper escalates his taunts, even though the other guys have basically laughed off his infantile rap.  He warns the others, “Anybody [bleeped “f***s”] with me, I will [bleeped “f***”] with you back a hundred times harder.”  He directs his anger at Cable Guy - the one contestant he knows would never hit him back.  Flipper attempts to provoke Cable Guy into punching him, since any physical violence would result in being ejected from the house.  Flipper begs for Cable Guy to hit him, but Cable Guy keeps his cool.  Then for no apparent reason, Flipper smashes a glass wine goblet over his own forehead.  “Hit me, you little bitch!” Flipper screams as blood gushes down his face.  “Yeah, you’re a [bleeped “f***ing”] bitch!  You can’t even [bleeped “f***ing”] look at me!”  Not that anyone would want to look at his blood-soaked face.  Finally, Flipper can’t contain himself and  shoves Cable Guy, effectively reserving his own seat in the loser section of the reunion show.  As he exits, he moons the rest of the guys, who have become well-accustomed to his naked buttocks when he stripped down to his man-thong during the first episode.  “You wanna see my [bleeped “d***”]?  You wanna see my [bleeped “f***ing d***”]?”  He flashes his genitals, which are obscured by a graphic of his demented face.  Not even Daisy is spared his psychosis.  He lashes out at her when she attempts to console him.  He flips her off repeatedly as he exits her room.  “You know, [bleeped “f***”] everything,” he spews, “[bleeped “f***”] these guys.  [bleeped “f***”] Daisy.  And [bleeped “f***”] Daisy of Love."

Sadly, the circus doesn’t end even though its biggest clown has left the tent.  Chi-Chi discovers neon-green sneakers that Flipper had left behind.  It doesn’t take long before the inebriated throng feels the call of nature.  They take turns urinating on Flipper’s shoes.  While Big Rig douses the clownish footwear, Flex tells him, “Fill it up halfway because I’m gonna top her off.”  With the men’s backs to the camera, the audience can see streams of urine hit the shoes.

Vulgar and disgusting doesn’t even begin to describe this toxic series.  But what would one expect from a franchise that featured a female contestant defecating in the foyer during the second season of Flavor of Love?  As the franchise continues its long slog deeper into the gutter, it goes beyond merely being crass and crude.  It’s a downright bio-hazard.

For excretory content, foul language, gore, and nudity Daisy of Love has been named Worst Cable TV Show of the Week.
