What could be more insipid than watching videos of idiots on the Internet?  Watching two idiots watch videos of idiots on the Internet.  Billed as the Beavis and Butthead for the millennial generation, the new animated MTV series DJ & the Fro is set in a the offices of a generic corporation where two twenty-something slackers do what millions of office drones do every day – waste countless hours of company time watching videos on the Internet.  Except in this case, the show’s two main characters provide a running commentary of inane drivel to accompany the inane actions on screen.  It is worth mentioning that this show is on every weekday at 5:00 p.m. ET, just early enough for school-kids to tune in before Mom and Dad get home.  If this show is the voice of the new generation (as it purports to be), then society is in trouble.  For foul language, sexual content, and real-life violence, DJ & the Fro has been named Worst Cable TV Show of the Week.

The series premiere on June 15^th kicked-off with a widely-circulated clip of a foul-mouthed preacher whose sermon goes something like this:

Preacher: “You ain't down with that, shut your [bleeped “god***”] ass up…The devil is a [bleeped “f***ing”] liar.... biatch... stupid bitch... I don't give a [bleeped “f***”] what you think, bitch…You don't like it, kiss my ass…Stupid ass house [bleeped “n******”]… [bleeped “F***”] what you talking about…Anybody resisting, [bleeped “god****”] my ass kissing…”

Another clip showed bonobo monkeys having sex in the jungle.  DJ and The Fro squeal in delight.  Fro comments, “These monkey chicks are still rocking the 70's-bush and I like it.”

DJ responds, “I prefer pubic hair to be seen where it belongs... on the rim of a toilet.”

Yet another clip showed a man eating a lamb’s eyeball, followed by a clip of people being punched in the face in hypnotic slow motion as their noses and cheeks bend and twist from the force of the blow. 

One clip showed a grown man weeping because the Giants lost a playoff game.  He whines, “We lose to the [bleeped ‘f***ing’] Eagles, man. Come on…We [bleeped ‘f***ing’] beat their asses.”

Fro chimes in, “I haven't seen someone that emotional after a ballgame since we scrotum wrestled.”

Later clips included two lesbians making out, a soccer player intentionally being hit in the face with a soccer ball, and an elastic home workout band whipping a man in the face. 

That pretty much sums up the show -- dumb clips haphazardly strung together.  The program is basically the televised version of YouTube’s comment section: boorish, crude, and offensive.

For foul language, sexual content, violence and general stupidity, DJ & the Fro has been named Worst Cable TV Show of the Week.
