The Phoenix chapter is headed by Mesa resident Gail G. Evans.  Remarking about her appointment, Evans said, "The impact on children of the pervasive sex, violence and profanity on television and in films has a documented harmful and long-term affect. We all must do what we can to improve the quality of the entertainment our children watch. I think the PTC is making a positive difference." Evans works for the Mesa High School, Agriscience Department.

"Phoenix is an important battleground for the Parents Television Council," Executive Director Tim Winter said. "Each local chapter on our growing list is critical to our success. These chapters make a significant impact both locally and nationally. We are grateful for the leadership provided by involved citizens such as Gail who constitute our volunteer base."
