Bus-ted: Could an RTD ad for Grand Theft Auto drive kids crazy?

Denver Westword

No more violent video game ads, RTD

Rocky Mountain News

Every parent has done it. Diverted their child's attention while passing that new toy or hoping they don't look up and see the ad for something they might want but that you're unwilling to buy for them. Advertising is powerful, especially when viewed by the most impressionable members of our society, our youth. more

Chapter Director Bio:

The Parents Television Council is proud to have George Robison as the Denver Chapter director. Born in St. John's, Canada, Robison moved to the states where he attended York Christian College in Nebraska. In college, Robison met his wife Brenda, who was, "indeed a blessing from above." They both have been involved in the work of the church since childhood and as newlyweds they began working in the Joy Bus program; teaching Bible classes and taking fellowship in the Church.

Robison and his family moved to Montrose, CO, where he was appointed deacon in charge of the youth work at Montrose Church of Christ. He teaches his youth group the importance of sound doctrine and always standing firm to the truth. As a Youth Minister, he has seen the harmful effects of television and violent video games, "I was surprised to hear some of the things they said and mimicked from TV. Even worse, they didn't know what they were saying and doing was wrong!" Robison's anger turned into activism. Originally a member of the Denver Chapter, his passion and dedication led him to become the Chapter Director. Robison believes with the support of his chapter members and their families that we can combat indecency and promote healthy family-friendly programming.

Robison has two children and enjoys family activities, singing, and woodwork.
