CHAPTER DIRECTOR BIO:
Mary Simon Streep was born and
raised in New Jersey. As the daughter of William E. Simon she
also lived in Washington, D.C. for a time. Mary graduated from
New England College (B.A. Education) and serves as a trustee
there. She is also actively involved in the National Council
for Adoption, serves on the board of the William E. Simon
Foundation, is a deacon at her church and volunteers for
numerous charitable concerns such as Meals on Wheels.
Married to her high school sweetheart for 30
years, Mary and Dana Streep reside in New Canaan, CT with their four children
and three dogs. She also is an Interior Decorator and enjoys tennis, gardening
and working out.
Mary has been a long time supporter of the PTC
and has served on its advisory board for the past two years. She is now pleased
to become the Chapter Director of the newly formed Connecticut Chapter of the
Parents Television Council. |
