Behne,
a bus driver for the Oak Hills School District and mother of
two, sees the influence of television on children every day on
her job. "I am very concerned about what the children of today
are watching on television. I am seeing a change in the youth of
today, and I think this is in part due to the television shows
and movies they are watching. It is important that we send a
message to our local network stations regarding inappropriate
shows for children, and address the importance of parents
monitoring what their children are watching" Behne says of her
new post.
Tim Winter, Executive Director of the PTC said "We rely on
community volunteers such as Patricia to spread the PTC's
mission from coast to coast, and we're proud to have her lead
the new Cincinnati chapter. Patricia's interaction with children
will be extremely valuable in her new role, as she is a daily
witness to the impact that television has on our youth. We are
happy to welcome her into our family."
