CHAPTER DIRECTOR BIO:
Alnita Ann Holder, humanitarian and mother of
two, is the Virginia Beach Chapter Director for the Parents Television Council.
A native of Norfolk, Virginia, she received her degree in Political Science from
Virginia State University. Holder is devoted to the welfare and betterment of
the family and her local community.
Holder set out to make a difference in the lives
of people and the world through a career as an attorney. However compelled by
her greater desire to educate and strengthen communities, she now carries out
her life’s work as an activist and humanitarian. She currently serves as Chair
of Empowerment’s Theater Organization, whose mission is to deliver compelling
entertainment alternatives in theater that will unite positive, social and moral
change in the local community. She is also active at her local church
participating in the acapella gospel group and serving on the fundraising board.
A supporter of the arts and entertainment,
Holder is concerned of the growing epidemic of television violence and sex, “my
passion for the well-being of children and the moral fabric of society has
spurred me to undertake the plight of media indecency,” said Holder.
Holder stands firmly committed to the PTC and
the fight to cleanup TV. |
