The Experience

Another aspect of a PTC intern's responsibilities includes attending workshops, seminars, and events in and out of the office.

Workshops:

Throughout the semester, each members of our staff meets with all of the interns via videoconferences to discuss their role in the mission of the PTC.

 

Beginning with a history of the organization, some of the topics include:

  • Fundraising

  • Entertainment Monitoring

  • Publicity

  • Advertising

  • Grassroots

  • Research, Publications, & Writing

Seminars, Events:

In both Los Angeles and Virginia, interns participate in external activities. Past trips have included:

  • Leadership & Professional Training on Capitol Hill (Virginia)

  • Television Show Tapings (Los Angeles)

  • Studio Tours (Los Angeles)

  • Specialized & Related Seminars (both LA and Virginia)
