PTC Awards Entertainment Seal of Approval™ to "Amazing Grace"

LOS ANGELES (February 22, 2007) - The Parents Television Council™, the nation's most influential advocacy organization protecting children against sex, violence and profanity in entertainment, announced that it has awarded its prestigious Entertainment Seal of Approval™ to Bristol Bay Productions, the sister company of Walden Media, for the new film, "Amazing Grace," which opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, February 23.

"Amazing Grace" is a film that chronicles the true story of William Wilberforce, a British statesman and reformer who championed the abolition of slavery until the early part of the 19th century.  In this epic story of courage and passion, Wilberforce steered this cause through the corridors of power and ultimately opened the way for the abolition of slavery throughout the British Empire.  The PTC recommends this movie for ages 10 and up.

"The PTC is pleased to award ‘Amazing Grace' with our Seal of Approval and to recommend this film to families.  We applaud Bristol Bay for providing a film that continues the upward trend of movies that are able to be enjoyed by the entire family.  We encourage more filmmakers to follow in the footsteps of Bristol Bay," said Tim Winter, president of the PTC™.
