PTC Presents Seal of Approval to GSN’s “Bingo America”

LOS ANGELES (June 17, 2008) - The Parents Television Council™ presented its Seal of Approval™ to GSN’s “Bingo America” for excellence in family-friendly entertainment.

“Because of its family-friendly content and enjoyable spirit of competition, the Parents Television Council is proud to award ‘Bingo America’ with the PTC Seal of Approval,” said PTC President Tim Winter, who presented the Seal to Executive Producer Andrew Glassman. “‘Bingo America’ is a model program that the entire family can enjoy together. GSN understands the need for enjoyable programming that is free from sex, violence and profanity, and we commend them for this show.”

GSN’s program “Bingo America” is a participatory Bingo game that viewers can play along with at home. A ball is chosen with a number and letter (B, I, N, G, and O) and the contestants must answer questions correctly to get Bingo. Each ball has a number which represents the amount of money they add to the pot if the question is answered correctly. Viewers can claim prizes if they get Bingo.
