KRAFT FOODS AWARDED FOURTH ANNUAL
‘CROWN AWARD’ FOR RESPONSIBLE TV ADVERTISING PRESENTED
BY HALLMARK CHANNELS AND PARENTS TELEVISION COUNCIL

Kraft Recognized For Leadership, Integrity

and Responsible Corporate Citizenship

Northfield, IL – Kraft Foods, the world’s second-largest food company, has been named as the recipient of the fourth annual “Crown Award” for responsible advertising, presented by Hallmark Channels and the Parents Television Council.  The award was presented by Tim Winter, President, Parents Television Council (PTC), and Chris Ward, Senior Vice President, Midwest Ad Sales, Hallmark Channels, on January 31, 2010 at Kraft Foods’ headquarters in Northfield, Illinois.  Dana Anderson, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Communication of Kraft Foods, was presented with the award because of the company’s consistent commitment to quality, family-friendly programming through their advertising.

Hallmark Channels, a leader in family-friendly programming, and the PTC, the nation's most influential advocacy organization protecting children against inappropriate and excessive portrayals of sex, violence and profanity in television entertainment, partnered to create this award in 2007.  The award is bestowed annually to an advertiser who exhibits extraordinary leadership, integrity and responsible corporate citizenship.

“We are so pleased to present Kraft Foods with this prestigious award, recognizing not only their dedication to family programming but also their long standing partnership with Hallmark Channels,” said Hallmark Channels President and CEO, Bill Abbott.  "As an exclusive sponsor of movie entitlements, our partnership with Kraft Foods has truly created an amazing family viewing experience that has become a destination for our viewers.”

“On behalf of parents and families across our nation, the PTC is proud to honor Kraft Foods for its unwavering commitment to positive entertainment programming through its media buying standards. As the second largest food company in the world, Kraft Foods is a daily demonstration that corporations of all sizes can adopt and adhere to family-friendly standards,” said PTC President Tim Winter.

“We are truly honored to receive this recognition,” said Dana Anderson, Senior Vice President, Kraft Foods.  “One of our core values is inspire trust and we know we have to earn our consumers’ trust each and every day.  It’s so important for us to make advertising decisions that are broad enough to reach a diverse audience but also focused enough to align with our corporate values.  We’re delighted that the Hallmark Channels and the Parents Television Council has selected us as the recipient of this year’s Crown Award.”
