NBC has hit the
jackpot with its new game show, Deal or No Deal, which often airs
several times a week.
Deal or No Deal
is
highly entertaining; viewers quickly get drawn in and begin cheering for the
contestants right along with the studio audience. Players often bring their
families, neighbors, friends, coworkers, even pets. Contestants are usually
bursting with personality and excitement, and as they share their life
stories or plans for how they will spend their winnings, they only become
more endearing.
On the April 5th
episode of Deal or No Deal, Hans appeared, bringing along his wife
and young daughter, who he described as the "loves of his life." Hans, a
car salesman, was funny and charming. His friends and family were
exuberantly supportive of him. During the show, Hans clutched a guardian
angel given to him by a former customer who was a cancer survivor. His
ultimate goal was to win enough money to buy his daughter a pony. After
turning down many deals, Hans was given a deal offer of $44,000 and a pony.
He did a touching "secret handshake" with his daughter and took the deal.
The family's jubilant reaction and Hans' obvious connection with his
daughter made for a heartwarming, touching moment. For consistently
providing clean entertainment for the whole family, Deal or No Deal
is our choice for Best of the Week.
