Parents Television Council - Because Our Children Are Watching

Best TV Show of the Week

Brought to you by the Parents Television Council

So You Think You Can Dance on Fox

By Caroline Schulenburg

So You Think You Can Dance is enjoying one of its most exciting and inspiring seasons so far, and is continuing to provide families with creative and wholesome entertainment. The episode that aired July 18th was an hour-and-a-half’s worth of brilliant dancing and great television for parents and children alike.

The episode began with an electrifying jive dance by Dominic and Sabra, who delighted the judges and audiences with their personality and energy.

Dominic and Sabra were followed by Pasha and Sara, who danced a lyrical and lively jazz routine to Queen’s “Body Language.”

The most curious and fascinating routine of the night was certainly danced by Lauren and Neil. Looking like a cross between burglars and aliens, they danced a contemporary routine, choreographed by Mia Michaels, which baffled and delighted the judges.

Lauren and Neil were followed by Danny and Anya, who performed an elegant foxtrot to “It Had to Be You,” followed by a campy hip-hop routine by Lacey and Kameron.

So You Think You Can Dance has become a summer mainstay for families everywhere. With such fun and inspiring entertainment, it will remain so for a long time to come, and will certainly continue to make appearances as our Best of the Week.
