American Dad on Fox

What is with Seth MacFarlane and horses? In a March 2009 episode of Family Guy, a horse licked Peter Griffin's rear while he moaned in pleasure, and Stewie supposedly drank horse sperm.  Now, MacFarlane ushers in the New Year with more horseplay.  For once again dabbling in bestiality, the January 3rd episode of American Dad has been named Worst TV Show of the Week.

In need of money, Stan agrees to back Roger's racehorse.  But when Roger's sore arm prevents him from taking care of the horse, Stan steps in to lend a hand...literally.  Roger instructs Stan to do the following:  "You have to brush the horse's coat and mane, water and feed it, then give it a full release...You know, give it a happy photo finish.  Take the glue out of the factory.  Spank his front butt.  Grant him a bone loan!"  Stan is aghast, but decides to follow Roger's instructions.

Stan gingerly approaches the horse and says, "Here we go.  Just do me a favor and let me know when you're about to...you know."  Stan bends down, presumably to manually stimulate the horse, whose eyes widen.  The scene immediately cuts to fluid spraying over Stan's face as if the horse had ejaculated on him.  As it turns out, Stan is spraying himself with the garden hose. 

Roger approaches and laughs hysterically when he realizes that Stan actually fell for his trick. 

The horse, however, is traumatized and refuses to run.  So Roger and Stan take it to a horse whisperer who deciphers that Stan had molested it.  Roger pretends that he is hearing this news for the first time and calls Stan a "sick [bleeped] 'f***.'"

The episode also featured a scene where Roger rides the horse along the beach and encounters a beautiful woman.  Roger gallops towards her, grabs her arm to pull her up to the saddle, and rips the arm off.  He nonchalantly tosses the bloody limb onto the sand.

Given that MacFarlane has three shows with essentially the same vulgar, puerile, ultra-violent premise, it should come as no surprise to see that he's started to rehash the same jokes -- so expect a horse to be engaged in some lewd act on The Cleveland Show sometime soon. But don't expect Fox to do anything to rein in their trashy workhorse.  The network seems committed in supporting MacFarlane's contempt for families.

For explicit sexual content and graphic violence, American Dad has been named Worst TV Show of the Week.
