Christmas is Here
Again is
an animated musical movie about what happens when a villain steals Santa’s magic
bag. A little orphan named Sophianna teams up with a reindeer and one of Santa’s
elves to find the bag and return it to Santa. At the end of the movie Santa
fulfills Sophianna’s Christmas wish to be part of a family, and he and Mrs.
Claus adopt her.
There is no sex,
violence, or foul language in this movie. Younger children might be frightened
by the villain, who resembles the grim reaper. There is one instance of one
character hitting another, and children are forced to work for the villain
underground mining coal and guarding his treasures. The vice of greed is shown
as negative, and working together and maintaining hope are emphasized as
positive values. The
story of Jesus’ birth is retold in the movie, which states that Santa brings
gifts to remind people of the miracle of Christ’s birth.
Because of its
portrayal of positive, family-friendly values, its relevance to children, and
its delightful holiday spirit, the Parents Television Council is proud to award
Christmas is Here Again with the PTC Seal of ApprovalTM.
The PTC recommends this film for children over the age of six.
