The Suite Life of Zack & Cody: Lip Synchin’ In The Rain is a DVD containing four episodes of the wildly popular Zach & Cody Disney TV series. Twins Zach and Cody live with their mother in The Tipton Hotel, owned by their friend London’s family. Zach, Cody, London and hotel employee Maddie have a lot of fun together, whether they are putting on a musical or learning life lessons. In the first episode, the group recreates “High School Musical,” in which Ashley Tisdale (Maddie) also starred. Maddie is not cast in the play and has to deal with being an understudy. In the second episode, London and her boyfriend break up and she realizes breaking up is hard to do. London, a very materialistic girl, has a lot to learn in the third episode; she accidentally hurts the feelings of some employees while also learning her family’s hotel business. In the final episode, the 14-year-old twins get into trouble when they go on dates without an adult chaperone.

There is little to concern parents on this DVD. There is one instance where  a man’s boxers are shown accidentally. Maddie and London occasionally find themselves in silly name-calling “girl fights” over boys. The twins, although 14, share a few kisses with their girlfriends and play the popular teen kissing game “spin the bottle”. Zack and Cody get in trouble for lying to their mom about entertaining their girlfriends without supervision.

Because it teaches children the importance of being responsible and kind and its general family-friendly nature, the Parents Television Council has presented The Suite Life of Zach and Cody: Lip Synchin’ In The Rain with the PTC Seal of ApprovalTM. The PTC recommends this DVD for children ages 8 and older.
