Jake Walker has it all: fame, money, and a career as a top pro football star.
Jake has achieved all this through his natural talent – and his constant
willingness to do whatever is best for himself, without a thought for his
teammates. But when Jake’s father (and high school coach) suffers a heart
attack, Jake returns home. Seeing the life his brother Dean, whom Jake’s
ambition caused to be injured in high school, has built for himself, Jake is
forced to confront the consequences of his lifetime of self-centered
decisions…and consider changing his life.
Game Time’s
heavy emphasis on football is sure to make it attractive to male viewers, while
its character-centered drama will interest women; and all viewers, especially
youngsters, will benefit from its emphasis on the importance of family,
integrity, selflessness, making good decisions, and doing what is right – not
only for oneself, but for others as well.
Once
again, producers and sponsors Wal-Mart and Procter & Gamble are to be
congratulated for their willingness to produce family programming, when the
major television networks refuse to do so. Because of its emphasis on
family-friendly values, the Parents Television Council is proud to award Game
Time: Tackling the Past with the PTC Seal of ApprovalTM.
The PTC recommends this DVD for all viewers over age five.
