PBS's
Dragonfly TV is a new
and hip, must-see science show for kids 9-12 years old. The
show's fast cuts, cool soundtrack, and energetic hosts help teach
kids about real science by taking them out of the classroom and
into the real world.
Dragonfly TV encourages its
viewers to develop scientific interests beyond the limits of the
television show by featuring ordinary children making their own
science discoveries.
One episode features two figure
skaters searching for a new way to spin without getting dizzy, an
experiment to determine the growth patterns of various animals, as
well as kart racers using an on-board computer system to find the
optimal gear-ratio to win a race. The show also features a
scientist explaining how science helps him invent delicious new
ice cream flavors.
We highly recommend this wholesome
and educational program. It contains no instances of offensive
language, violence, or sex.
Dragonfly TV, the
only all-science show for kids succeeds in bringing real science
to ordinary kids, by combining children's innate interest in
science with a fun program format.
