Parents Television Council - Because Our Children Are Watching

Send Your Warning to the Sponsors of NCIS!

CBS has once again violated the trust of millions of parents nationwide, this time by airing a scene of grotesque violence and drug use during the family hour – the earliest hour of primetime when the network knows that millions of children and families comprise the viewing audience. And they aired the program without the proper program rating which would warn parents about the presence of violent content or block it from coming into their homes. We need to make sure every sponsor that paid for this sick, disturbing violence hears from the public. They need to know that they will be held accountable for the content they make possible with their ad dollars. We also need you to contact your local CBS affiliate to express your outrage at the way they are using YOUR airwaves to harm children and families with such atrocious content.

*According to Nielsen Media Research, 365,000 2-11 year-olds and 335,000 12-17 year-olds were in the viewing audience for this episode of NCIS (aired on May 22, 2007 at 8:00pm Eastern on CBS).
