Daisy of Love on VH1
Episode Summary
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT
The season finale
of Daisy of Love (Sundays, 9 p.m.) is fast approaching, but before the
party ends, VH1 always airs a clip-show to string the audience along for at
least one more week. The July 19th episode of Daisy of Love replayed the
lowlights of the series to date, including alcohol-fueled antics, and violent
outbursts. Daisy might not find herself a Prince Charming, but the nudity,
vulgar language, sexual content, and violence that pervaded her show has earned
it the title of Worst Cable TV Show of the Week.
The episode was structured as “Daisy’s Dos and Don’ts of Dating.” Each piece of
sage advice is accompanied by video footage of the show’s wildest moments. When
Daisy advises the viewers to “Let It All Hang Out,” Big Rig is shown taking the
stage wearing nothing but a bass guitar. Sinister says, “Big Rig's leaning back
and his b***sack's hanging out the bottom of the bass. I didn't know if his
hands were playing it or his b***s were playing it.” On screen the incident is
shown with a skull and cross bones graphic covering Big Rig’s genitals. This
scene is followed by a montage of the men running around the house naked or
showing Daisy their penises. During the “Mind Your Manners” segment, three men
spit into a cup and trick Chi-Chi into taking a sip. When Daisy warns the female
viewers to “Beware the Bromance,” a montage is shown of Fox mysteriously
appearing in bathroom whenever someone takes a shower. His odd behavior leads
the other men to believe that he is checking out their genitals while they
bathe. For “Love Hurts (Deal With It),” the contestants are shown hurting
themselves in the most ridiculous ways. One guy smashes a glass cup on his
forehead, causing him to bleed. Big Rig nearly breaks 12-pack’s nose during the
mixed-martial arts challenge. But the most ridiculous injury happens when
12-pack corners and gets sprayed by a skunk. 12-pack’s eyes are burning as
the other men begin vomiting around him. Daisy’s “Spare Me the Drama” segment is
nothing but a string of bleeped expletives that punctuate the numerous
altercations that have happened during the past episodes. The angry contestants
trash the house and nearly come to blows.
The clip-show ended with a preview of the season finale, where Daisy will chose
her new beau from one of the three remaining contestants. Yes, the three
remaining men the audience has just watched make fools of themselves for the
past hour. This utterly pathetic show proves yet again that on VH1, even when
you’re a winner, you’re still pretty much a loser.
For foul language, violence, excretory content, and nudity Daisy of Love
has been named Worst Cable TV Show of the Week.
