Summary:

The band gets asked to sign the contracts with Bad Boy, but then they don't get the checks when they were promised them. They also get photographed for Teen People magazine.

August 27, 2003

Summary:

Dylan gets in trouble with Puff Daddy and fights with Chopper.  Later, Dylan misses practice because he's goofing off and drinking.

Summary: Sara and the rest of the band get frustrated with Chopper's immaturity. Sara becomes fed up and wants to go home. Puffy talks to Chopper about his lack of respect and immature nature. Da Band comes together at the end and works on a record that could possibly be their debut single.

Summary: Mayhem develops again when Fred and Ness get into three fights. After the third fight, Fred and Ness tell Puffy that their dispute is resolved. Puffy names the band Da Band.

Summary: The band still has yet to come together to produce a hit single for their debut. Puffy meets with them once again to encourage them to pull their act together. However, when Dylan leaves town for community service, a requirement of his probation, his band mates get upset, which leaves the band in a bigger rut than they were before. Puffy finally decides to close down the recording studio.

Summary: The band continues to record for their album. Wyclef Jean produces a record for their album. Dylan gets overconfident with his lyrical ability. Puffy is considering leaving Dylan off the record. Wyclef gives Dylan some advice, which makes Dylan less cocky and more focused.

Summary: Sara gets frustrated in trying to figure out where she fits in the band. She gets into a verbal confrontation with Chopper. The Band continues to write for their record, but Puffy still is not satisfied with their work.

Summary:

The group begins to record for their new record. Puffy selects Ness to lead the group and the rest of the group questions his ability to lead. During the episode, both Chopper and Fred get into a verbal confrontation with Ness. Fred and Ness's verbal confrontation blows-up into a physical fight.

July 2, 2003

Summary:

Babs causes controversy when she picks a fight about a missed phone call and then sneaks off to Brooklyn when the band was asked to stay home.  Later, Puff assesses the group's progress and is not pleased.

Summary:

Puff Daddy continues to haze the new band.  He makes them wash his cars, learn classic rap songs, and stand on the street reading a hip-hop biography aloud.

June 18, 2003 Episode (Season 2 Premiere)

Summary:

The six winners of the Making the Band competition begin their lives as recording artists working for Puff Daddy.  The first day they expect to be in luxury, getting treated like celebrities, instead, Puffy puts them in one room at a Best Western and makes them run errands, as a sort of initiation/hazing experience.
