LOS ANGELES, CA (May 31, 2007) - The Parents
Television Council’s prestigious Entertainment Seal of
Approval™ has been awarded to the PBS KIDS series,
Caillou, produced by Cookie Jar Entertainment.
“Caillou is a quality, values-driven
television program,” said Tim Winter, president of the
Parents Television Council. “Caillou is the epitome
of what children’s programming should be. This program not
only is entertaining but educational. We congratulate PBS
KIDS for broadcasting this wonderful program and Cookie Jar
Entertainment for creating and distributing such a
family-friendly production.”
Caillou demonstrates to children how
the first experiences in life can be perceived with wonder
and a sense of discovery. Caillou focuses on family
values and pro-social messages that have generated a strong
following with toddlers, preschoolers and their parents.
The PTC’s Seal of Approval is presented to
theatrical films, made for television films, television
shows and DVDs. Previous Seal of Approval winners include
Amazing Grace, Cars, Charlotte’s Web, Chronicles of
Narnia, Deal or No Deal, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,
Happy Feet, High School Musical, March of the Penguins,
and The Lake House, to name a few.
