The Parents Television Council is
pleased to award its coveted Seal of Approval to Warner Bros. newest
animated release Happy Feet -- a toe-tapping, knee-slapping,
family-friendly film that parents and children alike are sure to enjoy.
At the bottom of the world the Emperor penguins sing songs of
love, all except Mumble. Mumble (Elijah Wood), who can't carry a tune, was
born dancing. Mumble's non-conformity does not go over well with Noah the
Elder (Hugo Weaving) who, believing that Mumble is the cause of a mysterious
food shortage, banishes him from the colony. Alone and exiled Mumble
stumbles upon the Adelie Amigos led by Ramon (Robin Williams). The Amigos
accept Mumble for who he is and invite him to party with them. When Mumble
realizes that the food shortage is not just in Emperor Land he sets out to
discover the cause of it. Along the way Mumble discovers that being true to
yourself can make all the difference in the world.
Overall Happy Feet is a brilliant and hilarious film
suitable for children ages 8 and up. However parents should be aware that
there are some frightening moments that might upset especially sensitive
children.
Happy Feet is being released in
an IMAX version as well as the standard 35mm movie format.
Happy Feet: The IMAX Experience
opens in select IMAX theatres beginning November 17th.
