The producers of the award-winning
IMAX films Deep Sea 3D and Into the Deep 3D score another success
with Under the Sea 3D. Featuring spectacular scenes of the undersea world
of Papua New Guinea’s Coral Triangle, the Great Barrier Reef and the sea life
native to the regions around Southern Australia, Under the Sea 3D offers
an intimate look into the underwater world, and the exquisitely beautiful,
treacherous and sometimes comical creatures that live there.
There is no problematic content in
Under the Sea 3D. Occasionally fish are seen eating other fish, a sea turtle
is shown taking bites out of a jellyfish, and the like; but no blood, gore or
body parts are shown. There are also multiple references to and scenes showing
fish mating, but such scenes are not “sexual” in any sense that should worry
parents. The narration makes one humorous reference to “cross-dressing fish,”
about a species in which the males imitate the appearance of females in order to
mate.
Because of its tremendous educational
and artistic value and the opportunity it offers to view mysterious and rarely
seen parts of the natural world, the Parents Television Council is proud to
Under the Sea 3D with the PTC Seal of ApprovalTM. The PTC
recommends this film for viewers over age five.
