24 is a fast paced, high-intensity drama that takes the viewer through a day in the life of its main character, government agent Jack Bauer. Each season of the show documents a 24-hour period, with each episode covering one hour of that day. In the seventh season, Jack Bauer is working to recover a powerful, dangerous device that can break through all of the government’s computer network safeguards. Millions of lives are potentially at stake, and Jack must play all sides in order to get closer to the device -- and those behind it.
As in previous seasons on 24, the major concern for this series is its extremely graphic violent content. Gunfire, explosions, and murder are common. occurrences. In the two-hour special that kicked off the seventh season, a child soldier in Africa is depicted hacking at a prisoner with a machete. Torture also plays a key role in the program; at times, multiple torture scenes are shown in one episode. Language is also a concern for 24, with words like “damn,” “hell,” and “son of a bitch” being used frequently. Sex is not a problem for the program.
24 is not recommended for viewers under age 18.
