Now in its eighth season, So You Think You Can Dance continues to be relatively family-friendly. The series features amateur dancers competing for a cash prize and the title of “America’s Favorite Dancer.” Each week, the contestants learn new dances with their partners and perform before a panel of judges to be critiqued and voted on by audience members.
The series can contain some bad language, particularly at the beginning of each season, when there are usually eccentric personalities auditioning. Sexual content is usually limited to some mildly suggestive dancing.
So You Think You Can Dance is not recommended for children under age 14.
