ELI STONE

ABC Thursday, at 1000 ET

 PTC Summary:

Production Companies: ABC Studios, Berlanti Television
Producers: Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Ken Olin
Creators: Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim

Eli Stone is the latest series from writer/producer Greg Berlanti (Brothers and Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money) and writer Marc Guggenheim (Law and Order, Brothers and Sisters). Eli Stone appears to be a typical hotshot lawyer, driven by Armani, accessories, and ambition. One day, however, his life is changed when he discovers he is the only one that can hear traces of George Michael music in the air. These and other aligned visions cause Eli to reevaluate his life and take on cases representing the “little guy,” the type of people he otherwise would have argued against.

Much of Eli Stone is positive in nature, with Eli changing his somewhat-selfish ways and representing the type of clients that struggle to get their voices heard in the legal system. However, the series still contains some objectionable content -- much of it is sexual in nature. Eli realizes the significance of the first song he keeps hearing, George Michael’s “Faith:” it is the song he lost his virginity to. In addition, Eli and his fiancée Taylor are heard having sex, which is interrupted by one of Eli’s visions. Language is less of a problem; words like “ass,” “screw” and hell” are uttered only briefly. Although one episode involved visions related to war activity (including gunshots), violence is not expected to be a problem for this series.

Eli Stone is not appropriate for viewers under the age of 13.
