Now in its third season, Glee continues to chronicle the trials and tribulations of McKinley High’s hapless glee club. The “Gleeks” still yearn for respect on campus and their arch nemesis, cheerleader coach Sue Sylvester, still tirelessly plots the club’s demise. Meanwhile, the glee club’s advisor Will Schuester has begun a relationship with guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury, whose obsessive/compulsive disorder and sexual phobias pose many challenges for their budding romance.
Frank exploration of sexuality and frequent sexual content involving teens abounds on Glee. Sexual situations have included Santana admitting to Brittany that she was a lesbian; a student play director bullying fellow students into having sex in order to play their parts more accurately; and entire episodes devoted to teens losing their virginity. Profanity is harsh and frequent, with "bastard," "bitch," “hell,” and “damn” among the words used. Violence is not a problem for the program.
Glee is not recommended for viewers under age 16.
