Jeff Probst hosts the 24th season of the reality competition Survivor, with new twists in the game. This time, both tribes live on the same beach, having access to the plotting of their opponents. The tribes are initially divided between men and women, creating a battle of the sexes. This season, contestants include a sushi chef, a banker, a plastic surgeon, a man with dwarfism, and a bridal shop owner. Each episode features competitions for luxuries and immunity, and a tribal council where a person is voted out of the game.
Traditionally, foul language is used a moderate amount on the Survivor franchise. In this season’s premiere the words used have included “ass,” “freaking,” “piss,” “damn,” “hell,” muted s-word, “crap,” “sucks,” and “bitch.” Sex in past seasons has included couples making out, talking about sex and sexuality, and pixilated nudity when people were in challenges and their clothes fell down or off, or when people deliberately went about the camp in the nude. Violence was not an issue yet this season, although previous Survivor seasons have only had violence in terms of sports or camping injury and bleeding. There has been no sex or violence at all this season to date.
The PTC does not recommend Survivor: One World for viewers under age 10.
