Gary, Nick and Chris are three “guys with kids.” Gary is a stay-at-home dad, who tries to control their four young boys while his wife Marny works. Nick works and his wife Emily stays at home with a baby and a grammar school-age daughter. And recently divorced Chris is a single dad, who must cope with his controlling ex-wife Sheila. The guys support one another in their parenting, while still trying to have “guy time” watching football games and hanging out in bars.

Sex in the series has included references to a babysitter’s “squishy grandma boobs like Nerf” and an episode where Marny wanted to try for their fifth child with Gary hoping that it would be a girl.  Gary said, “These little bitty kisses activate my baby-maker.” The series also included non-graphic sexual innuendo and references. Profanity was limited to a few uses of “hell,” “damn,” and “screw.” Violence is not a problem for the series.

Guys With Kids is not recommended for viewers under age 14.
