Detective Catherine “Cat” Chandler has an unusual ally and protector in fighting crime: Vincent Keller, a former M.D. and soldier in Afghanistan who underwent a procedure that enhanced his strength, speed, and senses, but that in times of stress turns him into a monster. Helping them are Cat’s detective partner, Tess Vargas; coroner Evan; Cat’s younger sister Heather; and Vincent’s scientist friend and roommate J.T.

Content on Beauty and the Beast  is adult.  It contained violence such as Cat’s mother being murdered before her eyes, Cat bloodily attacked with guns, knives, and other weapons, and Vincent mauling her enemies. Language included “douche,” “piss,” “ass,” “hell,” and “damn.” Sex included references to a criminal having affairs with multiple women, but no sex was explicitly seen.

Beauty and the Beast  is not recommended for viewers under age 18.
