BEN AND KATE

FOX Tuesday, at 830 ET

 PTC Summary:

Ben and Kate

(Fox/sitcom)

8:30 p.m. (ET) Tuesday

Production Companies: Chernin Entertainment, 20th Century Fox Television
Producers: Dana Fox, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope
Creator: Dana Fox

As she struggles to raise her daughter Maddie and hold down her waitressing job with the help of her fellow waitress BJ and her pal Tommy, responsible Kate finds her life disrupted by her zany, impulsive, carefree brother Ben.

The first episode featured frequent sexual dialogue and innuendo about genitalia, oral sex, and Kate’s unsuccessful attempts at having casual sex. During a date, Kate removes her sweater and shirt, exposing her brassiere and cleavage. Open profanity was limited but implied; Ben complains that he cannot swear in front of little Maddie, and says things like, “Mother—shiii—shoot! Shi-shi-shyster!” Violence was not a problem in the first episode.

It is PTC policy to reserve traffic-light ratings until three episodes have aired.
