 PTC Summary:

The Mindy Project

(Fox/sitcom)

9:30 p.m. (ET) Tuesday

Production Companies: Universal TV, 20th Century Fox Television
Producers: Mindy Kaling, Howard Klein, B.J. Novak, Charles McDougall
Creator: Mindy Kaling

The second season of The Mindy Project begins with Mindy moving back to New York City after living in Haiti with her pastor boyfriend. This season, she will contend with maintaining a long-distance relationship while her cast of loyal office misfits is there to keep her company. Foremost among them is her stoic colleague Danny, who always seems to be there when she needs him.

Sexual content is frequent, with many discussions and much innuendo on the subject. For example, in the second season premiere, Danny and his girlfriend visit a sex therapist to treat Danny’s lack of interest. Later, his girlfriend discovers pornography in his browser history. Language is also a concern, with word like “ass,” “bitch,” and “piss” occurring regularly. Violence is not a problem for the program.

The Mindy Project is not recommended for viewers under age 14.
