The Mob Doctor

When Dr. Grace Devlin’s brother Nate gets in trouble with the mob, Grace saves his life by promising to “make good” on his debt. As a result, Grace must juggle her legitimate surgical duties with her “off the books” activities serving crime bosses – all while keeping her situation secret from her mother Daniella, fellow doctors Brett and Olivia, and her nurse Rosa. Grace is aided and sheltered – within limits – by fatherly but murderous retired godfather Constantine Alexander.
Violence was the biggest concern in the first episode, with Grace dealing with a criminal stabbed in the head with a screwdriver, graphic and bloody surgery, and an order from the mob to murder her patient. There are also several shootings by criminals. Sexual content included Grace and Brett necking while partially undressed, and a lengthy discussion about how a teenage patient became pregnant while still technically remaining a virgin. Language included uses of “bitch,” “ass,” “damn,” and “hell.”
