PTC Commends CW for Bleeping Foul Language During Awards Show

The Parents Television Council commends the CW Network for protecting families watching the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards last night when network censors quickly bleeped two “f-words” and one “s-word” said by several actors. “We applaud the CW Network’s efforts to keep the live television awards show clean for the sake of families across the country. ‘F-words’ and other foul language do not belong on primetime broadcast television, when children are likely to be in the viewing audience. We know it can be a tough job to mute indecent language on live broadcasts, and we are grateful for CW Network’s job well done. We hope other networks will follow CW’s lead on future live shows, especially during the awards season,” said PTC President Tim Winter.
