USMAP-600 To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the beloved classic Little Women, the Parents Television Council's 4 Every Girl campaign hosted red-carpet events and pre-release screenings of Pinnacle Peak's new version of the film in 23 cities across the United States. The first film to be released by Pinnacle Peak, Little Women is a modern retelling of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel about four sisters who celebrate their dreams, family and unconditional love. Starring Lea Thompson, Little Women has been awarded the PTC Seal of Approval and is safe for the entire family to watch. During the week of Sept. 24-28, the PTC with the support of grassroots volunteers in each city, hosted red-carpet pre-release screenings for over 16,000 people in 23 cities across the country. Before each showing of Little Women, a short PSA was shown highlighting the 4 Every Girl program and how important positive media images are for young girls and women. “We are proud for our ‘4 Every Girl Campaign,’ which seeks to create a media environment where girls feel valued and are defined by healthy images of themselves, to be partnering with Pinnacle Peak to ensure that audiences have the opportunity to see the film in advance. This modern version of Little Women is a heartwarming story that is sure to delight audiences and stands as a beacon of light in a rather dark world of entertainment,” said PTC President Tim Winter. "We are pleased to stand together with the Parents Television Council in regards to our Pinnacle Peak Pictures’ release of a modern retelling of Little Women, Louisa May Alcott's 150-year-old literary classic" This film aligns with the very mission of PTC and its ‘4 Every Girl Campaign’ that advocates for media images that value, respect, empower and promote the true value of every girl. The film finds Marmee, the matriarch of the beloved March family, encouraging her four daughters to dream and envision their future through challenging and difficult times. This is entertainment you can trust for the whole family,” states Franklin Santagate, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Pure Flix Entertainment and Pinnacle Peak Pictures.
