The PTC mourns the passing of Father Val Peter, who died on June 30th of undisclosed causes. In addition to serving on the PTC’s Advisory Board, Fr. Peter served as the executive director of Boys’ Town for 20 years. During his tenure, he renovated the campus, expanded outreach and family services, and opened branches in major cities across the US. Although we mourn the loss of this tireless crusader for children and families, Father Peter’s influence will be felt for generations to come.

PTC President Tim Winter, who worked closely with Father Peter said, “All of us here at the PTC are shocked and saddened by the news of Father Val Peter’s passing. Father Peter was a force for good and a beacon of light for the PTC’s mission. He worked tirelessly to engage directly with corporate CEOs, urging them to adopt responsible advertising practices. He was an unwavering ambassador for our work, and he gave generously to support our cause. And for me, personally, he was a source of wisdom, insight and good counsel. His boundless energy led me to believe that he would be with us forever. Though I will miss him greatly, I know his impact will be felt for generations to come. I am truly blessed to have known and worked with this great man. God Bless you, Val.”
