TELL ANDY JASSY TO PULL “HAZBIN HOTEL” FROM AMAZON PRIME

Mr. Andy Jassy, President & CEO

Dear Mr. Jassy,

As a member of the Parents Television and Media Council (PTC), I am writing to respectfully request that you cease production of Hazbin Hotel and no longer air it on your Amazon Prime streaming platform.

In many respects, I am a very pleased Amazon customer. However, I am very concerned about my children and grandchildren viewing Hazbin Hotel. This show has no redeeming value and is an outright assault on traditional values.

It sows confusion in the minds of vulnerable young people as it celebrates evil and condemns good. Its not-so-hidden agenda is to break down any discomfort people have with perverted behavior.

Hell is wrongly portrayed as a place of freedom where you can have fun and indulge all your sexual and perverse desires. Meanwhile, the citizens of heaven are portrayed as cruel, misogynistic, and vulgar. This is the complete opposite of the historic idea of heaven and hell that is shared by most Americans.

Moreover, children should not be exposed to the sexual situations and uncensored foul language that are pervasive in Hazbin Hotel. Although the show is ostensibly for adults, the very fact that it’s a cartoon that garnered millions of young followers as a pilot on YouTube is all the convincing I need that the target audience is really teens and children. Because Amazon Prime reputedly has less than adequate parental controls, Hazbin Hotel is easily accessible to minors.

Today, I am asking you to do the right thing and remove Hazbin Hotel from the Amazon Prime lineup.

Respectfully,

Take Action. Stay Informed.
