SUBJECT: Do your part to keep kids safe online

Dear Speaker Pelosi, House Minority leader McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader Schumer, and Senate Minority Leader McConnell:

The greatest gift you could give children and families this Holiday Season, is a commitment to keep children safe online.

In these last weeks of 2022, I am imploring you to pass the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) and the Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0).

Children are literally dying because of the lack of oversight over Big Tech, and inadequate protections for children online.

The companies who design and release these platforms know they are creating an addictive product. They know that they are deliberately feeding kids dangerous content promoting drug use, disordered eating, and suicide. They know these platforms are being used for human trafficking and sexual exploitation – and they have done nothing to stop it.

Big Tech won’t act. We need you to.
