LOS ANGELES (March 5, 2025) – The Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) is warning parents that Disney-owned Hulu will be adding Anora, a film glamorizing prostitution, to its platform on March 17.
“Given the buzz around Anora stemming from the Oscars, we are warning parents about its disturbing premise since it will be available to watch on Disney’s Hulu. The film is billed as a ‘Cinderella’ story about a prostituted woman who meets and marries a wealthy Russian oligarch. Anora deserves every ounce of its R-rating due to its graphic sex scenes, nudity, explicit language and drug use and is definitely not appropriate for children or teens. With Hulu readily accessible to children through the Disney+ streaming platform, it’s imperative that parents know that this film will be within reach of their children,” said Melissa Henson, vice president, Parents Television and Media Council.
