Kevin Can Wait: A Traditional Family Sitcom

The other new domestic comedy this fall from CBS. Macho cop Kevin has just retired from the force, and is looking forward to filling his days with paintball, football games, and lots of beer. But Kevin’s plans are upset when his daughter announces she is dropping out of college to support her fiance…and Kevin is appalled by his daughter’s choice of the decidedly non-macho, geeky software designer Chale. Kevin lets the duo move into his house, where he can keep a loving eye on his daughter…and a cynical one on Chale. The first episode of this traditional sitcom, contained no foul language and only the mildest sexual banter between Kevin and his wife. If it continues in this vein, Kevin Can Wait promises to be a clean comedy the entire family can enjoy. Kevin Can Wait premieres Monday, September 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
