LOS ANGELES (October 12, 2023) – The Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) has recognized the film Miracle in East Texas with its Seal of Approval, a prestigious recognition of outstanding quality films and television programs that value and represent the highest standards of socially-responsible content and family-friendly program themes.

“In a time when family-friendly content is scarce, Miracle in East Texas delivers for families, and we are pleased to give the film our PTC Seal of Approval,” said Melissa Henson, vice president, Parents Television and Media Council.

Inspired by a true story, Miracle in East Texas actors Kevin Sorbo (‘Doc’ Boyd) and John Ratzenberger (‘Dad’ Everett) play Bible-quoting con men in the 1930s. After being run out of Oklahoma, they set up their ‘oil rig’ scam in Texas, seducing wealthy widows and the members of the only black church in the county. But just as their plan comes to fruition, everything suddenly goes awry, and they are faced with the most important decision of their lives. Funny, engaging and uplifting, this is the incredible story of two men discovering the good that is buried within themselves. The MPA rating is PG.

Miracle in East Texas will be in theaters nationwide for a limited time starting October 29, 2023.
